DJ EAVY RUDE BOY STYLE
For years, I have been amassing the tunes for a mixtape just like this. I have long plotted the perfect hip hop dancehall mix tape, featuring Shinehead, Jamalski, the really amazing songs by Heavy D. but a lot more obscure stuff I will have to save for the mix (soon come inchallah). But I found this mix searching for tunes for my own, and I have to give respect to DJ Eavy for a very crucial mix. He kept it in the New York vibe, and it conjures up an era when I first discovered dancehall music, from artists like Cutty Ranks, Supercat and Frankie Paul that were heavily featured on New York mixtapes. I miss those selector Bam Bam and Chinese Laundry mixes, but this takes the edge off. Rude Boy Style
